Rosewood adaptive transfer and head matching

Postby DNC_Scotty » 08.06.18, 00:42

Hi everyone,

I've got a Rosewood family drive P/N: 1R8174-568 F/W:SBK2 ST2000LM007 that needs new heads. Ordered a donor but the heads are a different revision given the sticker. Is there a process to transfer the adaptives from the donor to the patient rom?

Thanks!

In my experience you don't need adaptives transfer on Rosewoods

That ended up being true. The donor I was using ended up being defective. The second donor worked like a charm!

I use brand new donor drive HSA too, the problem is after a while it start to skip sector (yellow) then if I change with another HSA I'm able to go ahead with image.
Result are that more drive are require to complete an image.

Are the failing heads contaminated after the short use? Perhaps just clean them and re-try.
