Understood This But Whats The Difference ?
For the drives where system files are read via ATA direct mode, you can read system file by typing volume, file id and copy of the file in the top sys files tab.
For the drives where system files are read via ATA indirect mode, you have to upload module and system files table in the utility and then check the box of the system file in the sys file tab to read file. You have to follow this procedure because of ATA indirect mode requires mode parameters (Volume, FileID, Copy and other). When you check the box you lay down system file parameters automatically.
AJ2008 wrote:Source of the post there is solution for this. When translator is rebuilt, it restores many values in many modules, and native translator module can be restored back after full regeneration has completed - this will retain Media Cache and any Post Processing defects while allowing repair of the translator / MC issue.
Complications occur when there is some inability to read translator module, where other DR company with limited experience has it first or where there is some mechanical problem like head damage.
AJ2008 wrote:Source of the post Try this:
Read ROM
Patch ROM
Repower HDD
Send Handshake
Read translator system file via terminal or ATA direct mode
Regen translator
Repower
Send handshake again
Write translator file back to relevant module (not system file)
Restore original unpatched ROM if required then restart HDD and read data
