Hi

I have Segate ST500dm002-1bd142-021 fw. hp73
I have problem with init of the disk. I identifies as wrong disk with capacity 3,4GB. I think ROM is corrupted!

Please give me some advice how to initialize the dis correctly. I have same disk as donor, can I use his ROM???

I have made to read ROM in Boot Code mode. All data are ok, ROM, HDD ID, CAP,SAP,RAP.
What I should do now to get correct hdd initialization when startin hdd in normal mode???

Can i write saved ROM from BOOT code to donor PCB and put it on patient hdd?

Yes, you can.

But try to get a terminal access by shorting procedure then check a critical sys files (like 28, 35, 1B etc) , all of them are OK?
