HTS543232A7A384 with partial sector access

Hi Folks,

Does anyone found a solution for a partial access problem yet?
I have a case here with a 2.5" HTS543232A7A384 drive.
It is identified and starts properly, and i can image good until 6%, then it is all bad UNC.
I cleared G-list and SAMRT but getting same result.
Some of the firmware modules are corrupted including PSHT(SEE LOG BELOW).
Did someone managed to solve a similar case?

Looks like you have a damaged P-List. Have you tried doing a software translator in Data Extractor? Or have you tried initializing translator in RAM through the utility?

yep, it fails unfortunately.
Is there a way with these drives to reconstruct P-LIST?

Is it possible to image this disk from the end, backwards? As i understand you can acces the disk? If you use Winhex you can image from the end until the point it fails, than do the same from the beginning until the point it fails. Put both parts together and you can do your recovery. You will miss the missing piece.
I know it is not with ace's hard and software but perhaps a solution for your problem...

thanks for your suggestion, but there is not imaging beyond the first 6%.
Backwards or forward image will fail - it is a translator problem, and new translator can not be generated as the P-LIST 2 copies are corrupted.
