WD Blue WD6400AAAKDS

Postby peter.best » 29.07.24, 05:52

Hello Team.
Client burned PCB with over volt power connection.
I replaced the PCB. There appears to be no ROM chip to swap.
I run a disk test and see "The drive issues an ABR when you try to read it. It is necessary to perform diagnostics and repair the firmware of the drive.

PCB Test shows Sector Buffer Test Write sector buffer error Port 0) SendCmdDataOut. SendPortCmd

How do I repair this firmware please?

I think for this model PC3K can automate ROM recovery process for you, assuming PCB is only issue.
