HI

Yes, Sypglass 3 is supported f you have the version update 7 onwards.. read ROM, then patch ROM (Unlock SED HDD) in utility. Save unlocked ROM and write back with the Pogo pins.

SpyGlass 3 uses MCU encryption, you need to connect SATA to original USB pcb.

The correct reply is:

SATA compatible board is the 810030, this is handy to working with the SA without using the soldered wires on the original USB board

in either the cases you need to read the USB board's original ROM, obviously is faster to read the ROM and write it through PC-3000 utilities facilitation

then again with PC-3000 utilities you will create the unlocked version of the ROM

and because of MCU encryption you must then use the unlocked version of the ROM to write it in the original USB board
and solder the wires to have 100% control of the drive and get the decrypted content

Well, it all depends on how fast is for you in the operation of soldering the wires and how handy is for you to read/write the ROM with the aid of those gigs that allows to read/write the ROM without unsolder it
