Dear Frds ,
I received this model hdd palmer family WD10SMZW which have noise ,I have convert this USB to SATA and head also replaced head with some match parameter donor hdd ,Now head working good model and capacity is reading good ,While copying sector its copying as zeros ,what was the problem ,,, i am not able to understand ,experts kindly help me ..to understand what happens in this models

This is a newer problem we are seeing with Western Digital SMR drives. They use a new firmware design that is similar in some ways to SSDs. The drive might have a problem with the secondary translator, when that happens it will appear to function fine but all sector reads are returned as zeros. I don't know of any way to fix your problem without a resource backup when the drive could read data. There is always the chance someone has figured it out and maybe they will offer their service here.

+1 any problem with secondary translator drive will only return zeros.
Also keep an eye on imaging speed, if its running at max, drive is not even trying to read a sector.
