I'm trying to find a way to connect this via SATA.
I've got the 12+16 pcie to USB board but cant interface that with the 3K or the DDI4.
I've got the 12+16 pcie to m.2 but the notch is in the wrong place for m.2 to sata
Is there a way to do it or am I at a brick wall here ?

Hello SlingShot,
There is no connectors for SATA. Starting from 2013 Apple is using PCIe bus instead a SATA. Inside controllers of SSD, SATA block is not presented. That's why it's useless to look for a APPLE to SATA adapter starting from 2013.
The only way - try to find PCI-E adapter and insert it in your motherboard PCI-E slot.

OK thanks Roman, this will only work for software though. The only way using hardware appears to be using the SSD add-on with the DDI4.
Does Acelabs have any plans so these can be used on the 3K ?

I really hope it's just an add-on that can be used along with PC-3000 + SSD, and not an entirely new system to buy

It's impossible to read PCI-E or NVMe drives through SATA bus. It's two different interfaces with complete different number of transferring commands.
