Rebuilding ROM

Hello to all i just want to know if there is any chance to rebuild a ROM for a seagate drive, if you dont have the origial PCB.

It's only possible by a few people (maybe even one person) and only for older models (like Pharaoh, Wyatt etc.)

Unless you have a ST-10 drive or older U type (module based drive)....

Rom is only "unique" for F3 ARCH drives. For ST-10 Seagate drives you just replace the PCB with a compatible one with the same ROM code as the original. APP code must match ROM code otherwise drive will drop to F>. You can write correct ROM in a very easy way on ST-10 type of drives (classic barracuda, etc ...)

If you do need to rebuild ROM on F3 arch try to contact "Pepe" at the HDD Guru forum. It will be kind of expensive ....
