Segate ST2000LM007 ROSEWOOD HDD

Postby firstdata » 14.02.18, 06:44

I have two drives of the same ST2000LM007. They issued ‘Error initializing microprogramming tables’ during utility Initialization of PC3000, HDD ID not being detected, following the below message.

(MC POR Duration): 000000D1AD
Intel 6G->3G
Send Status: COMRESET seen
CSpd= 3Gbps
LED:0x000000BD FAddr:0x00009062

LED:0x000000BD FAddr:0x00009062

LED:0x000000BD FAddr:0x00009062

Any ideas what may be causing this and solutions?

Thanks for any help.

‘Error initializing microprogramming tables’

Device has security features preventing access to important service area information - you can apply a patch to the ROM on this to bypass this security and access SA

some SA information is damaged or corrupt preventing good initialization of the media. You need to first gain access then find the problem. It is probably related to MediaCache or problems with the relocation processes but due to peculiarities with this model you should always ensure you make a full backup of any accessible service information, pay special attention to translator module.

I applied 'Tech mode unlocking preparation, patch', but could not access.
Terminal mode not available, but BSY DRD DSC PHY register ON.
Maybe NAND flash ROM damaged?

Try to select manually Rosewood A5 family, and read ROM in this family again.
