Seagate ST50000DM000 unlock not possible

Hello got a Seagate ST5000DM000 FW.CC48
get acces to terminal with : Tech mode unlocking preperatin than i tried to Unlock tech, drive prepared by utility.
terminal reply -> Diagnostic Port locked. Its possible to unlock these drive? Fam: 79 Crawford.
Any hint is welcome. :wave:

Crawford should unlock ok... what is the problem with the drive? what does the terminal log show on normal startup?

does it eventually show DSC and DRD after the terminal has stopped spamming these addresses?

Aj Sir ,
i am of the opinion there is a need to remove reallocations in SMP sys file in this current drive .I also feel there is need to work on media cache in this particular drive case .We in india are still not having higher capacity drives coming .But in states and canada and many parts of europe its very common

PS : Niceday once you get SATA Reset message you should restart the seagate utility and might be you get detection and sector access .

this would require access via terminal which seems to not be granted based on the initial post.

Assuming that you know crawford is possible to unlock,I am sure he should try this out if he has latest tool software and then try the suggestions i pointed out .In what version were you able to unlock crawfords AJ Sir

You mean ver 6.4 or you mean last version of 6.3 the 6.3.16

Thanks for your response. Yes it show DSC and DRD after these adresses. I get accesss via terminal but Port is still locked.
When I get get SATA Reset message I restart the seagate utility but can´t get detection and sector access .
Version 6.4 but not able to unlock the Drive. @ AJ -> Do you have unlocked one in the last time?

It may be possible that it will recover data on DSC DRD registers, slowly but I see some cases that behave this way. Version I have is 6.3.14, I did not update to 6.4 yet.
