How to handle Seagate SSHD-ST500LM000-FW: DEMC-Terminal Locked

Hi Guys,
I’d like to know as handle these beasts.

The patient after power ON, stays BSY, then after a while, it get DRD and DSC state, but terminal is locked and it give the terminal output in attached.
I applied the Kahuna patch and I was able to unlock terminal. So I saved ROM and 28, 35, 1B SYS file. 93 I can't read it.

So as after the command “F3 T>/OI” I got the error “SOC PSM Status = 0017 Flash Erase Failure”, I have ordered a compatible (equal) PCB, rewritten the original ROM, but I got the error “ERROR: Flash Led 9C17 - RestoreALFTablesToDRAM Failed - could not recover data from Tables Clump” and the drive does not spin up at all.

ACE TS said to try with another PCB.

I think it's a problem with SSD flash failure, but at the moment I do not know how to fix it ... do you have any idea?

Can you send any other commands in the terminal?

Is FW version of the drive is DEMC? Are you sure that you patched the ROM?
Please send us the log report when you patch the ROM by Kahuna patch.

Hello Filipp,
the TK you closed it, because you told me to try with other PCBs and I did not have all these PCBs. The Kahuna Patch in my case did not work.

I had to solve it in another way.

Problem connected with the NAND chip - it can't be cleaned.
That's why need to use conpatible donor PCB.

I can now solve issue of 75% of the cases without any F/W Manipulation .Its interesting how this NAND can be bypassed and Platter can be accessed

sadly the customer could no longer wait, and I no longer had PCBs, so I had to close the case differently (outsourcing).

I hope to have another drive in hand to do some testing.
