Drive comes ready on normal mode but does not ID correct.

All modules modules were saved with no errors, tried to rebuild translator and I get this failed message

I swapped the PCB just to make sure is nothing wrong with it and rebuild ROM from SA still have the same error message when trying to rebuild translator

Any ideas please...

A weak head may cause the translator not to load properly in many cases. Try to edit headmap in RAM with just system heads enabled to see if that gets you past the issue. If it does, then you can enable the remaining heads in RAM (without re-booting) and then use DE to image by good heads.

Hi hdd_sand, check whether 31 SA module has CS error.
If it has, recalc the CS manually, save it in module (make the backup first), and try to rebuild the translator again.

By the way, what is the reason of translator rebuilding?
If it's because of wrong ID, check what ID is written in 02 SA module.
Maybe it would be enough to write 02 from the same FW and capacity donor backup.

Do report back with the final outcome of this case i am interested to know how it ended :D . You can check SA Structure and fix any CS error based modules .
