Marking skiped sectors as damaged

Postby AdasRip » 15.09.17, 16:23

Is it possible to mark skiped sectors as damaged?

When I copy the sectors and encounter the damaged, I immediately skip the next 8 sectors.
I mounted the task to use it in an external program (dmde).
Unfortunately the external program re-scans these skipped sectors. I know that they are definitely damaged.
So I thought to mark them as damaged. Then the external program will not scan them again.

Maybe there is another solution?

Because I have a corrupted NTFS structure because of bad sectors. MFT location records are corrupted.
DMDE rebuilds structure much faster than DE (in partition analize mode).
