Rosewood_8C PSA issue

Postby shahi » 01.08.17, 17:34

Hello everybody

Though the family is new to everyone with SA access. I'm having issue to my case regarding PSA

The HDD came with Full of UNC, translator regen was the shot by considering defect list into consideration (m0,6,3) was used.

Now, the sectors are inaccessible after 810 851 016

The Translator Recovery was tried but the Drive restarts during the process once it tries to recover.

Anybody faced the same issue into any of your case? Any clue or advice will be appreciated

Same thing happened to me, luckily data ended just after the stopping point so 99% was still recovered. There was no solution (ace checked drive remotely) because it wasn't possible to write SA back to drive after xlator regen finished (so, even though I backed up system files, I could not write them back). But, next time, I will try the new option of "translator regen with defects from plist and NRGL" and hopefully it will work better.

Did you make the backup of system files?
