Timeout of waiting NAND chip readiness.

Postby Hemendra » 09.05.17, 16:52

I have 32Gb SDHC card. I found the pin layout from the site and soldered on circuit board.

Now the Flash tools detect the chip Id Perfectly.

[09.05.2017 20:34:04]: PinState ID= 8 ->
[09.05.2017 20:34:04]: .. Bus= 8 bit/ IO0x-0 -> ID= 0x453C9693 (ID EXT= 0x453C9693 7E570904) - OK! Parts detect... 1 OK! 2 Fail!
[09.05.2017 20:34:10]: For current chip ID= ID= 0x453C9693 (ID EXT= 0x453C9693 7E570000) pinout scheme is = 9.
[09.05.2017 20:34:14]: Chip ID= 0x453C9693 (ID EXT= 0x453C9693 7E570904)
[09.05.2017 20:34:29]: Microchip ID =00 PATH =01:

while creating the dump of chip it gives error.

[09.05.2017 20:46:44]: R/#B0 -> 0 -> Status Line FAIL!
[09.05.2017 20:46:44]: Status line is in 0 state.
[09.05.2017 20:46:44]: It maybe damaged or havn't contact .
[09.05.2017 20:46:44]: It's recomended to change check status on by command.
[09.05.2017 20:46:47]: NUD:NRP-> Error(3)!
[09.05.2017 20:46:47]: NUD:NRP-> Error(4)!
[09.05.2017 20:46:47]: Error in Nand Page reading. (Page: 0 )
[09.05.2017 20:46:47]: *****************************************
[09.05.2017 20:46:47]: Error!
[09.05.2017 20:46:47]: Error type:Device error!
[09.05.2017 20:46:47]: Error code:Error of working with memory chips.
[09.05.2017 20:46:47]: Info:Timeout of waiting NAND chip readiness

The error is continuesly. reading chip data shows totally 00
How to resolve R/#B0 status line fail error?

Thanks,

Hello!

It's a controller influence. You can read ID but controller in SD card block access to NAND core. Possible solutions:

1. Physical destruction of integrated controller (for example - make X-RAY picture, found where controller is and drill it);
2. Influence with power supply. Try to send not VCC but V2 power supply with default 3.3V;
3. Try to reduce power voltage from 3.3V to 2.6 - 2.8V;
4. If your SDHC has additional VCC contact on pinout, you should send power supply also on this VCC.
With best regards

Hello,
I would suggest you play around with power and reduce it ,An Xray would be cool i have no idea which kinda Xray is necessary
