Anyone have a good SATA alternative model for the USB drive WD WD5000LMVW?
Looking for compatible HSA.

I'm pretty sure WD5000LPVT works. I can verify it tomorrow if nobody else confirms by then.
Re: looking for WD5000LMVW Hubble LT equivalent
That would be nice if it did. I have a few of those.
Although I believe the HSA PCB connector is quite different but not sure. In the lmvw the connector extends underneath the magnet.
Actually they do look to be the same families.... If you could verify the connector that would be great.

Beautiful... looks good to me!
Thank you.
Thank you.
Re: looking for WD5000LMVW Hubble LT equivalent
Wait! Is your WD5000LMVW a Hubble or Hubble LT?
WD5000LPVT-75G33T0 is Hubble
WD5000LPVX is Hubble LT.
The HSA fits between WD5000LPVX and WD5000LPVT but I have never tested heads between the 2 different Families.

Re: looking for WD5000LMVW Hubble LT equivalent
Hubble LT uses an aerial density of 1480, whereas Hubble is 1420. Maybe it'll work, but I've got my doubts. Generally when I've crossed families with heads it's always been families that have the same aerial density.
For other Hubble LT models you might consider any of the following:
WD5000LMVW-__VEDS_ (the _ characters vary)
WD5000LPVT-__FMCT_
WD5000LPVX-__V0TT_

Re: looking for WD5000LMVW Hubble LT equivalent
I know this is an old thread, but I can confirm;
Patient:
WD5000LMVW-11CKRS0 (Hubble)
Donor:
WD5000LPVX-28V0TT0 (Hubble LT)
With matching DCM and country are compatible.
