Model : Hitachi HTS547575A9E384
Serial : J2540054HT01AE
Firmware : JE4OA50A
Capacity : 698.64 GB (1 465 149 168)
Its a 750GB drive. I'm using the utility for family 5475A9 since it wont auto detect.
Head 3 is not working but the the other heads are functional as long as I keep applying the HDD translator initialization in RAM every so often.
I believe that module WRT3 ( Marker at head 3) is to blame for Head 3 not reading at all since I can't read that module.
Anyone know where I can find WRT3 for this drive?

Well
In Hitachi I Believe Many Modules Do Not Read But User Data Access Is Possible .What Exactly Does WRT3 Module Do .Why Not Clone The Other Heads And Try a Head Swap Or a Hot Swap And Check Head 3

Hi Amarbir, yes that's where I'm at. All is cloned except head 3. WRT3 is "marker at head three".
That's all I know. By that description it sounds like it's affecting had three. I've checked many old used up donors and of course the WRT3 is also bad, so it might be a common point of failure for hitachi. I've already ordered a donor for heads...But I really think all I need is the module to be corrected.
