Hi there,
does anyone know if there is the parameter "Read timeout" equivalent to what is on DDI?.....and if there’s where we can set it?
Thanks so much
Jojo

Re: Read timeout parameter
Yes, and just so you know the setting to "Read Using Hardware Retries" = PIO mode. Not sure why they don't just label it as such. I think we all would understand that.
Re: Read timeout parameter
Hi,
thanks Amarbir and Jared for the reply and hint. I don't understand, ACE time ago had told me that this parameter can be set by the utility and precisely “Tools”--->Settings. General Tab, “HDD timeout” value.
if I'm not mistaken that one parameter together with the block size it is crucial in cloning processes……so stated also DDI.
Thanks again guys

Yes this is PIO mode, PC-3000 allows to read sectors via PIO mode with and without hardware retries.

Hi Guys,
thanks Dmitriy for the clarification about “Read Using Harware Retries”=PIO mode…..although I asked for “Read Timeout”…anyway no problem now I have more info.
@Amarbir: No I don’t have DDI, but like you, I have planned to buy 1 unit, maybe when there is a bit more work…..thanks again dude.

Amarbir you’re right to buy the 2 units….I think that's one of the best investments. I too, until now, the majority of the income I used to buy equipment, upgrade of PC with new workstations, constantly updating SW, and last but not least I have to go to the 6.0 version. DDI is another piece of the puzzle that cannot be missing in this field, although someone knows how to use DE fully, I think that he is a good point.
