customer used smartware password to lock drive.

There is a hint - so its not corruption

Is there a solution for this ?

I know how to decrypt these with the bridge boards - it wants a password.

You sure its not a Self encrypting model? If it is and password is forgotten it can be passed inside PC3000 utility.

Drive has standard wd usb with full-time encryption.

The decryption key is stored on the drive in mod 25 and in the hidden area at the end of the drive.

When a user uses smartware to create a password then what it does is it uses the passphrase

to encrypt the key that is stored in module 25 and end of drive.

To access the drive you need the passphrase to decrypt the key sector

then that key is used to decrypt the user data.

I think for this case a password was set via the Smartware which has hashed the key. In this case, it cannot be decrypted unless password is known. Many Shrek models are SED drives, and it is still possible to recover if password was set and forgotten to an SED model. This is why I asked if client was aware of it being an SED. If password was set via the JMS bridge, then probably there is no way to deal with it.
