I Have a wd800JD that has damage to the SA at head 0. When it reaches the errors, it starts to click. I have carried out a hot swap and can access SA on head 1 without error, but when I check head 0, it clicks and I have to do the hot swap again.
Is there a way to change SA reading order to 1,0, or better still, just 1?

Re: Change SA order
Hello,
Try to change regions:
1. Run WD Marvell utiliy in kernel mode.
2. Miss HDD Identification reading at start.
3. Make backup copy of HDD resources.
4. Go to menu Test->Work with ROM->SA regions editor, there you will see two or more regions
5. Click "Do it now..."->Block SA access (or copy initial ABA of second region and past it in current value of initial ABA of first region) then press Ok
6. Restart power and run utility in normal mode.

Why not use SA modules from copy 1 to make your donor compatible for data access, hotswap and image surface 1 then attempt image of 0?
