What is the symptoms of this problem, and how do we fix it?
I have a WD green here that is very slow in reading. Would that be typical of this, and what do we do to speed this up?

Hello
Slow responding symptoms are next:
- it takes much time to identify family on a drive
- utility requests are processed very slowly. It tooks a lot of time to read modules or recalculate translator
- if you will set "Send soft reset" before enter utility, that will help to identify family and enter utility quickly(submenu for "Play button"->Run utility with parameters)
Solution is available only at Pc-3000 UDMA version 4.7x. Tests->Service information->Work with SA->Solv "Slow responding problem"

Re: Slow responding problem
Hello,
what about that often slow responding hard drives depends on the fact that one head is not working?
I usually get access to the drive and then, after head map is created, I have to disable one head.
Is there a way to regain access with also that head? I think it's not really defective but it's something related to the translator.
Thank you.
