ST31000528AS remains busy !!!!!!!

i have a hdd in the following specification :

seagate 3.5" , 1 TB , ST31000528AS , FW : cc34

when i connect it to pc3000 , it remains on busy state

after i enter F3 family and using soloution when it wants to clear s.m.a.r.t it shows the message : drive is not ready

and after that hdd starts clicking

the log file is as follow:

Tell me please , is it possible to reach terminal on this drive?
Please try to press ctrl-z when in terminal tab and see if "F3 T>" was displayed.
Also check for other output messages, copy them to this topic if there are any.

yes , this hdd can reach to terminal as you mentioned . ( F3 T> ) was displayed after i pressed CTRL+Z )

and the shown messages in termina are as follows :

(P) SATA Reset
PASS
RW: Error processing Performance Parameter File: 203C
Send Status: COMRESET seen
ASCII Diag mode

Hello.

After all modules were saved, try to regenerate translator with command from Tests->Service information->Work with service area->Translator regeneration

Then restart the drive and see if it will display you ID and capacity.

Can anyone tell me if this solution worked for them? I have the same drive that exibits the same error,

Even after Translator Regeneration. It seems to have a problem accessing / resetting the SMART. The drive will also not allow any format / erase actions. Spins up and ID's perfectly, and all modules have been successfully backed up.

Would be very interested to know whats causing this.

Everyone this solution i mean Translator Regenation will shows your Drive ID & Capacity but u can access Few sectors only unfortatilly no Complete solution yet as i belive, i had same problem i did Translator Regenaration Drive shows ID i can access few sectors only i have tried to Read it with Utility Command it takes 5 Days to save 3MB Data & that data is also not working.
