Postby hassan » 19.10.10, 07:45

Hello
I have 1TB drive with HFS+ file system
The client format this drive with NtFS file system and he dos not write any thing after the format function
I need the data which was on HFS file system it is about 600GB
Total LBA on this drive :1953525167
I do this steps to get data
1>I run GREP search for HFS structures
i find HFS+ Volume Header at LBA 409642 and 1853262982
also i find HFS+ Boot at LBA 1952982270
2> I assign all as Virtual HFS partition all was valid and refer to the same start of HFS Boot sector
3>Scan CatalogFile and Scan partiton but no thing found

What can i do to recove data?

You could use another software for automatic recovery, like R-Studio, it might yield better results. You can also try RAW recovery in Data Extractor.

No, this is only the case in situations of serious logical damage. If there is severe logical damage, then DE will fail to get structures also.

Try HFS Explorer. It is free :)
Flash Killer - everyday new resources (pinout, XOR, ECC,config) for flash devices
