Thanks very much for the update! Will be nice to have r/w access to F3 ROM, among other things

Hi i looked at the utility seagate and the LED CC error was changed to make a curtcircuit.

I try it today in a 7200.11 500Gb no luck.

if possible would like to have the old way to do this.

Do not know about other users say´s about this ?

Regards

I think problem is in the description, the instructions are not so clear. You still have possibility of manual repair through terminal F3 T>.

I think new automated repair is designed to work with new ES2 disks where Terminal access through PCB alone is impossible. for older cases, at the point where it is advised to short, simply isolate PCB and remove isolation during 'spin up' message.

Using isolation still seems to be the best solution for 7200.11 series because don't know why but connection of control points doesn't always do the trick...

For standard 7200.11 with supported FW I agree, but for ES2 shorting is only way...

Great Job is done by ACE team, I appreciate it. BUT believe me the new version is not stable. I got tiered of it. Now I am working with Toshiba drive 2.5”, in DE , although I checked "multiple retries", and NOT to ignore reading errors , that is clearing “Skip sectors in reading errors”, it ignores them, unless I check “single sector access”, then it read them again, and so many many strange instantaneous things happening. PLEASE revise the version. If I map the files' links, and scan, it behaves correctly.
Another thing, yesterday I worked with Samsung drive, if i go to check the modules, then I cannot exit from the utility, I could exit via "CTRL+ALT+DEL" only.

One more thing. I have a healty drive, with Mac partition and files on it. When I make quick disk analysis, DE does not see any partion, neither any file.

I saying this to correct the version. Again I appreciate your JOB.

I think quick disk analysis will not identify partitions that are not NTFS or FAT. Also, HFS partitions usually are found after some intial system partition, or EFI partition. I think maybe this is why is not visible?
