Problem fatal error PCI bus parity error detected

Hi:

I have had a fatal pci bus parity error since day one when installing and using this board. I have gotten 5 new mother boards, new menory, use the 478 socket set for P4 and still seem to have a configuration problem in the PCI slot when running this board.

Finally now after 9 months of changing boards, reinstalling windows, getting new memory, reinstalling pc3k software and activating it again and again this problem has finally been solved by trial and error.

I am not even sure ACE understood this problem after sending screen shot after screen shot for the frist four months to them. Complaining that my program had garbage on it finally got an answer to this one it was untranslated areas of Russian inside my prorgram. I have lost a lot of time and money on this machine and material I have purchased here.

The only thing that seemed to work fine on the card with the DE and could use only this to clone drives with. I know this board is designed for repair but when repairing and running the program it would shut off on me all the time. I followed every suggestion that was offered to me by ACE and seemed to have nothing but more and more problems on this one.

I finally took all the new mother boards I have purchased for this machine and installed them again one by one and tested each one over again. Then out of desparation I tried the new board for another sytem I have and wow it has worked fine and will stick with this one. I have lost too much time on this to try and change now


Be careful when choosing your mother board to run this machine on. The PCI configuration vary from board to board. Now I have gone to the 775 socket with the Pent dual core processor running 2gb of ram and the Biostart mother board and this seems right now the only board that wll accept this card and not give me error.

This is just for everyone informaiton and not sure anyone else has had the problems with their board as I have had.

Thanks for sharing the info, good to know certain m/b have issues, just like deepspar, its picky in choosing the right one.
