WD Head Map Editing

Hi

Anybody know the procedure for head map editing to image a WD5000KS with H7 bad?

I have 4.34 but seem to be struggling to use the new feature.

It's OK, got it working now with some help from Igor.

Got a WD4000KS imaged all bar H7

Now I have another problem with a WD5000KS, I know H6 & 7 are bad but it won't come ready with all heads enabled so I can enter Kernel mode in UDMA, it just sits there and clicks forever.

Ideas?

Sadly I don't have a working donor, all my WD5000KS are broken!

Anybody in UK have one I can borrow/buy?

What modules did you copy for headswap ? I have the same problem here, AND i have a working donor

What i did was hotswap and not headswap
I don't remember exactly the modules now as I'm home, but for wd you just have to move the translator from patient to donor

Do you have problems imaging after HotSwap when DE skips the damaged head? Example, if h5 is damaged, sometimes HDD will read h4, then when trying to read h6 will repower.

Also, moving just translator modules applies to all WD drives or just non-ROYL? I have procedure I use for Marvel HotSwap which involves copying almost all modules to donor before hotswap. It works, but maybe not all mods are needed?
