is there any support for thins in pc3k udma?
i know there is no official support yet.. but anything in the works?
any ini files or some dirty way to get SA info from this drive available right now?

spins up, sounds ready (just like spare), not on bus.

What are ATA registers showing?

Tried a hotswap with your spare?

Tried accessing SA of spare HDD with any of the other family utilities?

I've had similar issues where one head was weak and causing similar symptoms.
