so thats what we did:

1. Connected the drive to utility and waited until the drive entered Ready state
2. switched to "terminal" tab and performed

F3 T>/2U

DiagError 00006008
Spin Error
Elapsed Time 17.473 secs
R/W Status 2 R/W Error 84150180
F3 2>

As you can see the drive reported Spin Error message.
Seagate utility developer suggested next steps for this case:
1. Check the drive in clean room for head stuck and platter scratches
2. Get a donor drive and test the spindle motor and commutator contacts with multimeter(you can compare patient's values with donor's). If spindle motor dies-platter swap is the way.Change whole head stack for bad commutator.
3. If the heads stack and spindle motor are good, then you may try to resolder the NV-Ram chip. It is the 8-pin chip with 25U42xxxxx signature. You can see it in the right bottom corner on st2.jpg .
With best regards

I had a similar case with a 500GB 7200.11, clicked 3 or 4 times, then powered down reached RDY and displayed the same terminal message as above. Seems as though heads are damaged.

Hi AJ2008,

I have made a video with the disk when try to calibrate.

Tell-me your problem was like this ?, try to calibrate 10 times them it stop spin and the heads go to the parkzone.

I have watched your video, my opinion is that heads are damaged. I believe that the disks ID is displayed from the PCB, much in the same way as a SCSI.

My 7200.11 with bad heads behaved the same, and it was indeed heads.

HI AJ2008,

Thanks for the reply.
The ID off this disk " F3 " what i see it always detect the model, FW, ( but if they can not read the SA dont give the size)
I had some disks off 7200.11 tha was head problem and the size was 0MB.
In this case i dont have a donor 5400.6 :( just 5400.5 but i change heads ( site code match WU, WUXI )
and the heads where not compatible, so i put the heads back to the original disk, and power on ok the first 3 times, them it give the same error and my patiente disk?

So Acelabs, are telling that can be motor problem, but this new disk where working fine ( new disk )

I need a real donor from the same falimy just to see if it´s heads problem or not...
Or i can change the plattes and PCB for the donor disk...
Them i post the progress.

Thanks
Jose
