WD5000BMVV 11GNWS0 USB drive

Postby PijoMax » 29.01.14, 11:55

Hi everybody,

this drive is starting with normal noise, not recognised (by OS and PC3K), led is on, not flashing. After long time, led starts flashing, drive is recognised by OS with right parameters, right size, partitions (2) are shown too, but no reads (winhex or similar). PC3K does not see it anyway.

Any idea (before opening it) ?

BTW, what SATA card is suitable to be used ?

Thanks in advance

Max

This is Marn 5_4K drive. You can transfer ROM to Mariner PCB.

Tell me the PCB code on your PCB, should be something like 2060-701675-004. The important part is highlighted bold.

Probably you will need 771672 (2060-771672-001) from mariner (WD5000BEVT-00A0RT0)
