Seagate 5400.5 family

Postby dmarques » 09.02.09, 15:37

Hi,

I have a Seagate ST9320320AS, family 5400.5.
Drive gets ready, but shows no size.
In a regular PC, it's just the same.
Anyone had already some of these drives in and found anything about this problem?

Thanks.

Is the Translation Violation solution generic for all F3 drives, both 2.5" and 3.5"?

Hi,

The 5400.5 has the same technology as the 7200.11.

If doesn't work, maybe it's a new firmware that still has to be studied.

Have you tried hotswap?

I had a few of those, so I'm not sure about a specific case.

But depending if it's an important job or not, you should buy parts and try hotswap.

If you don't want to do that, I can try it for you.

I don't sell drives, at least normally.
