Postby baldric » 17.09.16, 11:53

Hi Sir,

I have this hard disk for data recovery.

The drive had a dropped and after that able to accses user data but read very slow (10-30kb/s)
But i manage to copy out the hdd resources (rom and module)

so i try to do the solve slow responding problem.
http://blog.acelab.eu.com/pc-3000-h ... oblem.html

at step No. 2 i notice my WD 2.5" 2TB drive should have 8 heads,
but my PC3000 screen shows only 2 rows of address.

at step no. 5 , my log has an error :

after which, the drive ID become not able to auto detect.
I changed a new head into the drive.( the head has a known head 0 can read cannot write, head 1 can read/write)

I'm still getting the same error.

I try to load the modules from the previously backup from this drive, i cannot access the drive.

If I load ldr 11.rpm as permanent overlay from a downloaded resource from hddguru website, i can read the front few user sector.
if i jump to final sector, the drive will become busy forever.
if i go to data extraction. The drive will reinitialise and my drive become unable to detect.

baldric,
Try to set the region 1 address instead of 0 in region 0 address first in ROM. Restart the drive.
Then try to upload the loader into RAM, get SA access, and solve the Slow Responding problem once again.
Also it can be necessary to clear the module 02: http://blog.acelab.eu.com/pc-3000-h ... rives.html
