So you tried to regenerate translator without even checking NRG??? That's living dangerously.

The issue is 100X more likely related to the media cache than the translator. Hopefully, you didn't botch the recovery now by doing something you didn't understand.

Are you recommending backing up 35 before any translator work?

I backup everything before translator work. And I always check for NRG first or it's going to go sideways on you.

I backup everything also if the drive co-operates through ATA.
What do you back up through terminal when you can get ATA access?

If terminal is only option, I've been backing up:
1BH P-list
28H Translator
35H NRG
93H HDD ID

I forget which module ROM is, but I get that one too. I would imagine i might be missing some important ones....
