I have disk HTS541010B7E610 PN: 1W10082 USB which is wd palmer,
I transferred the rom into unlocked pcb, i am trying to use DE decryption, it says self encrypted, but no data, can any one tell me how to decrypt it

In fact when it was with usb pcb i could see the data, when i attached to unlocked pcb, it doesn't see any thing . even in ray, i tried to decrypt, it says self encrypted, but also no data, i think there is special decryption, kindly try to help

You need to make a SATA connection to the original USB PCB. Read ROM, unlock ROM and write it back.
Data is encrypted via MCU, so you need to use original PCB.

in fact it is sata not usb. i was wrong. i copied part of sevtors. then heads are damaged. i changed the heads. now it is reading but clear sectors. no data. i have unlocked pcb. i transferred the rom to unlocked pcb. and atta hed the unlocked pcb with patient rom on it, same. sectors are empty. as if it is translator issue. by the way, how to unlock the rom

now i packed up all modules.

You need to use the original PCB and unlock that that one.

I had faced that problem:

2 weeks ago I got my first data recovery case, it was not easy, The client need's data for his daughter En.IT examination . Hard disk was a Western Digital Palmer, HDD suddenly doesn't spin and detected by Laptop, or PC3000 UDMA .

I checked PCB electronics nothing wrong, My PC-UDMA cannot do firmware backup even ROM, everything are encrypted.
so I bought a new one :

PCB has been replace, ROM CHIP has been transferred too , Plugged to PC-UDMA, HDD detected, ID correct, But HDD Locked:

My Solution:
I'v tried to clear user and master Password , it doesn't work.
so , I warm plugged the WD10SPZX-24Z10T1 HDD directly to working windows7 64x, I pointed to [Disk drives] Item in Device Manger tree right mouse click and [search for hardware changes].... HDD had detected and added
and make search device manger detect it, part ions has appear, directly I copied all continent to another HDD by "RoadKite unstoppable copier" software, every things goes well .
Data recovered Successfully, case doesn't closed yet because customer refused to pay 150$ as fee and donner cost.
he only pays 21$ . It's like a business slap.


In my country data recovery is a catastrophic business, the S.Y currency lacks purchasing power.
Every one think's data recovery is a software installation service.
No electric power to work only 30 mint supply , I had saved and buy1.3 KW Solar system Power to work -after 3 year of bought my PC-3000 UDMA - Solar System power is cost me 2600$.

This my experiment in first data recovery case
