Postby Arihant » 17.11.15, 14:44

Seagate 4TB hdd has clicking noise. It has head crashed. I have replace the head.
Now No cliking noise. Motor is runing smoothly. Terminal shows this message.

"Boot 0x40M
Spin Up
RECOV Servo Op=0100 Resp=0005
Trans.

Hello,

You need to get terminal access and check heads reading and writing via terminal. Then check important sysfiles. Maybe you will need to upload loader

Did you need to swap 1 ROM chip or 2?

I thought so too.

my drive stopped spinning after it was imaging fine for a while. I remove the TVS and it was fine for a few minutes and then stopped spinning again.

I changed the PCB/rom and the drive now spins again but I get this FW Error and the drive now detects as 3.68GB.
