WD10EARS strange problem

Postby Powermax » 26.06.13, 16:18

The description of my problem :

- Connect Hdd to Pc3Kudma and power on
- After some seconds, Hdd go to ready
- Run utility
- After 1 or 2 minutes utility start. (Very Very Slow like normal)
- I run "Slow Response" fix, but it cannot write 02 and 32 module. Nothing to do with this fix
- I start SA module Check and Backup. The process is very very slow (like 1 hour) but i can backup all module, and i see all module are OK
- Hdd ID is good. I see model, S/N and all other parameter

Seem all is ok, but Hdd is very very slow. I tried to read sectors, and all sectors i try are readed well.
I make Heads map for test Heads. I can read from all Heads.

The strange problem is that all seem to be good, but reading sectors is too slow for make clone or recovery data.

Someone can help my ?

Tnks to all.

Write crucial hot-swap dependent adaptive to donor, hotswap and check speed of reading. If it does not improve, then probably your issue relates to problems with seek times, maybe heads are weak.

Also, check mod #32 manually, is it clear except for header or it has lots of content?
