Sorry to ask a rudimentary question; however, I have been away for 5 months.
I have a drive that is making a clicking sound. Hooking it up to the PC3000, in the Utility mode I receive the following response.
Selected family......................... : MHV2xxxAT/AH
Selected model.......................... : MHV2100AT
Model by HDD ID......................... :
Reading module table from SA...
SA module table isunreadable!
Loading : HS, head map module......................................... : Error
Error................................................................. : Can`t read module 0104 from HDD
Loading : PL, single sector defect list and zone allocation table modu : Error
Error................................................................. : Can`t read module 0102 from HDD
The DRD DSC are blue ERR ABR are Red
I have a donor drive; however when I swapped the PCB I received the following error
Selected family......................... : MHV2xxxAT/AH
Selected model.......................... : MHV2100AT
Model by HDD ID......................... :
Reading module table from SA...
SA module table isunreadable!
Loading : HS, head map module......................................... : Error
Error................................................................. : Can`t read module 0104 from HDD
Loading : PL, single sector defect list and zone allocation table modu : Error
Error................................................................. : Can`t read module 0102 from HDD
I then took the Original PCB and placed it on the donor drive and the drive spun up and was functional.
When I try to read the ROM I receive the following message
Test : Reading ROM
Reading ROM to file ( Z:\PC3000\!Profiles\!Profiles\FUJ25\MHV\FUJITSU MHV2100AH-000000A0-NT60T6A27RNV\Data\ROM\ROM.bin )
Error reading ROM
At this point, would I be correct to say that I have to replace the heads?
Thanks for any input
Frank

Thank you for your replies.
Alberto,
I do not understand what you meant when you stated "should check the MR sensor´"
What is the MR Sensor and what is the 180 signify?
