MZ-HPU512T/000

Postby se134 » 21.02.25, 09:17

I have an NVMe SSD (MZ-HPU512T/000) that is not recognized.
The controller is marked S4LN053X01.
Is this supported by the PC-3000 ?

Hello,

Starting from the Samsung 850 EVO, Samsung company completely lock the internal firmware modification and techno mode options. Right now, without a digital signature, we can't influence such drives without compatible Utility...
Our developers are working on it, but I'm afraid that the solution will not be released in the nearest time.

Anyway, you can try the following trick:

1. Make a new task in DE without passport ID reading;
2. Type LBA number manually (approximate number would be enough: 512gb x 1024 x 1024 x 2 = 1073741824 LBA);
3. Try to power ON the drive and read sectors. Sometimes it helps to force the reading process. Also, try to influence on this SSD with temperature. Heating or freezing may help.
With best regards

Additions to Romans very useful advice, you can also check if drives internal supply voltages with an oscilloscope, make sure there is no noise and ripple.
Compare supplies with a working identical drive as reference.
