HP Model SSDPEKKF256G7H 256GB from HP Notebook

Postby FredW » 17.04.24, 13:00

Hi,
I have here a HP SSD which seems to have firmware issue.
The case came from a - unexperienced technician from one of my dealers. As always he did make no backup of their customers data at all.
He told me it stopped while he was initializing Bitlocker for their customers Notebook.
I think the SSD had bad sectors and after some attempts to read it ... it scrambled the translator.
The controller is from SM ...I am not sure if it is a SM2260 or something similar?
Did anybody know if there is a possibility out there to read and repair the firmware or do we have a solution for this?
I could not find one.
I appreciate in advance any hint, trick or wise comment. :umnik:  :?:
Many thanks in advance
Eddy
