Hi

I have this HDD wich clicks.
I have checked heads and platters, they seem fine.
When connected to UDMA, it clicks but after a few moments it goes ready.
When I try to select the family, it doesn't recognize it?
This is a new family unsupported?

Can I try to disable heads, to see if I can get any files?

This is Hitachi ARM, are you using right utility? also, head failure can be present even without any visible damage. knocking on powering suggests some issue locking to servo data. Check PCB first, but otherwise likely it is head related.
