Hello.
The original flash content is corrupt, but some informations are intact.(The drive do not spin up). Hot-swap method work fine, but have got a problem with data area acces ( important mudules are rewrite on the donor).
Some data out of patient drive: FSI modul:2AMw3drB.d61 FW type in corrupt flash: 2AMu09z_..161
So, i think the original flash version is: 2AMu09zM_d61
Thanks

Easier is to save donor modules, then after hotswap and patient calibrates, write to ALL copies of patient the donor Overlay modules. Then, use donor PCB and donor ROM and you can reach data.

Does your PCB have an external ROM chip and do you have a facility to read/write external Serial Flash (external programmer) ?
If you can DUMP the contents of the "damaged" ROM, can you post the file ?
Maybe it's just some minor damage like the FIPS section and if so I will be able to patch you ROM file and when you flash it back it will work again.
If the PCB is not damaged, if the problem is just with ROM and if the damage to it is not to big most likely I will be able to patch the ROM in order to fix it.
Info about the FIPS issue :
http://ts.acelab.eu.com/index.php?/ ... ksum-error
Live example / solved case :
http://malthus.zapto.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=643
Even if the problem is not woith the FIPS section i still might be able to patch the ROM to make it work if you can dump the contents of it.

Hello
The PCB with External Flash ROM (WSON 8pin). I read with external programmer.
Original PCB work fine with another flash ROM with another same drive, but I replaced it.
I will rewrite the overlay modules too.
Thanks for help AJ2008 and Takanashi for links.

Try to "patch" the "damaged" rom first.
Only if it doesn't work you should re-write the overlays to use a compatible PCB.
Save a copy of the original MC and try not to change anything until you try a "patched" rom.

This is good advice

Re: Samsung HM100UI need flash 2AMu09zM_d61
Ok:
I've received a mail with the damaged ROM.
This is what i've found :
- FIPS for your donor ROM is NOT on the "standard" offset 70000 but it's on offset 3000 instead.
On your "damaged" ROM the FIPS are GONE !!!!
Offset from 3000 to 4000 is "damaged" or GONE on the ROM that doesn't make the drive spin.
I will PATCH the "damaged" Rom and post it here in a moment.

Please download the patched rom from here :
http://planetaclix.pt/Rain/Spildit/ACE/patched.zip
This is your original DAMAGED ROM with PATCHED FIPS section/module.
Flash this to the native/original PCB.
If you didn't made any change to MC drive should work now.
Let me know if it worked, i'm pretty sure it will.

Please let me know if it worked or not.
If it didn't I will check the rest of the file/ROM more carefully and will calculate checksum of modules.
If the patch just works we are done and it will save me some work.
Remember to ERASE ROM from the SOIC8 chip first and then program the attached patch ROM.
Regards.

Also if you have copied overlays/modules from the donor to the damaged drive you will have to revert the changes.
Drive should be as possible as it was when you started to fix it. This will be repaired native ROM and so native / original MC (SA) should be there on the "damaged" drive.

The problem was solved. Thanks for very useful infomation from Takanashi! All data recovered. It was FIPS section mistake in the ROM.
