Dear Guru
hi
these days I am involved with a WD6400BEVT-75A0RT0 (family:Mariner) which suffers from Rom problem .
the hdd doesn't spin up , after changing the PCB with a same one from same family and writing Rom from same family ,
I am able to read 95% of SA Modules .
I tried to rebuild the ROM and ROM's Modules , but unfortunately i did not succeed .
one of my friends told me that for this family we are not able to do ROM rebuilding .

now how can I recovering the data from this hdd ??
waiting for soonest reply

best regards

You can restore ROM from #109 and then write ROM mods from similar donor. Make sure head mapping is the same in resources you write.

You need to generate ROM from 109 through utility, then write in kernel mode, after repower write donor ROM modules.

Trying to write complete ROM will likely damage the ROM.

I can help over skype if you have it?
