hi guru

I have a WD My Book (3TB external Drive)
it is not detected using USB Cable
I connect the h.d.d through SATA port to the PC3000 and found that this ERROR : "Security Locked H.D.D"

i tried to remove the password , but was not succeeded

how can i unlock this h.d.d ??

this kind of hdd's can be detect only with WD interface board.all information's about this hdd is inside the main IC of interface board.
i think if that interface board has a problem you should find similar or exact board,connect it to the hard disk and identify the mentioned hdd.
otherwise you can not identify the hdd through pc3000 sata port.

This is a model that uses encryption and has the Smartware security installed. Recoverability of this depends on what you mean by 'Security locked' and circumstances relating to application of this condition
