Anyone have a solution to bypass this. The client swears that the password that he gave me is the correct one.

Which module if any holds the info?

It doesnt work this way. There is a copy of the key in a service module, but the key itself if hashed with SHA after pw is set. Need to know password, without it there is nothing you can do
