WD5000BMVV problem

I have 5 HDDs WD5000BMVV MARVELL USB MARINER 2.5"
All 5 HDDs give me the same error. They cannot access SA.

Can anyone tell me if this means head problem for all HDDs?

Hi,

You should indicate better some issues.
- What happened to the drives first of all
- Do you hear any clicking sounds and then drive spins off?
- Have you tried to read each head individually?
- Have you tried hotswap to access SA?

All drives start clicking when they try to access SA.
I didn't try Hot Swap because i dont have any functional HDD.

Still some answers to reply.

Yes all drives stop spinning after some clicks.
I also tried through ROM HEAD EDITING enable only one head at a time, but still no result.

Hi,

So there's only 2 chances.

- Hotswap
- Swap heads

But I think hotswap will not allow you to read anything.
