WD5000KS Post Hot Swap Problems
Posted: 26.10.08, 03:29
I have a WD5000KS with bad head #1. I copied modules 31, 32, & 33 to donor drive and regenerated translator. Then I did a smart hot swap.
I can read all of the firmware modules (copy 0) with the modules table, and all are good. But DE is painfully slow and there are too many ECC errors.
I am guessing there are some other adaptive parameters that are different and which are making this difficult.
Any advice?
