hELLO,

How can i put in kernel mode a WD notebook SATA disk.

i connect directly to the sata cable and power cable with the adapator.

tell me the full model of the drive.

and - you may try to unscrew the board from HDA , connect it to PC-3000, start wd utility , power on the drive with "Kernel mode" option selected.

unsrew the pcb , conect it on pc3000, wait until buisy is off.
procede to wdc marvel, pres cancel, select Kernel mode and press Auto detect.

there are pictures in this forum in the WD section showing how to place WD drives into Kernel mode
