WD USB drives

Postby pclab » 12.11.14, 19:30

Hi

I'm having some cases with 2,5" USB drives, that I can't ID directly thru USB on UDMA.
I get messages that HDD's RAM cannot be read, etc.
Some I can read by terminal.
But now I have a new model (WD5000LMVW-11VEDS6) which PCB (2060-771962) I can't connect by terminal.
Why these messages of HDDS RAM, error, etc? Bad PCB's??

Thanks

Probably it is USB3 drive of FBLITE or ShrekLT etc, some of these models will block vendor commands at SA preventing work with RAM ROM or SA

Hi AJ

So the only way is to continue to read ROM and write it on donor PCB, right?
Thanks
