WD10EACS error

Postby AJ2008 » 18.12.08, 16:20

I have a WD10EACS which ID's fine, and all modules appear OK. On attempting to access data. i get ABR error. I have viewed ROM, seems OK, head test shows no heads damaged. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Yes, but cant see any specific fault. I have spoken to tech support on MSN who have advised me there is no solution for this at the moment.

Any suggestions welcome though!!

I have sent to Acelab a copy of all modules, tracks, ROM modules, and ROM and also the same from a working donor I have. There seems to be no fault with this disk that can be identified by looking at the SA report. Physically and electronically the disk is fine. No password is active, no defect tables or any other modules have damage to checksums or headers. Disk powers on and reaches RDY quite normal, is identified by utility as HULK family.

This one is really puzzling me!!
