WD800BB-00JKA0 shows Model as WDC ROM Model, WDC-ROM SN# XYZ

Hi guys

I have a WD800BB-00JKA0 with few very soft clicking and managed to get DRD and DSC, however on PC3000 it shows
Model:WDC ROM Model--SABRE--
Serial: WDC-ROM SN# XYZ---

I suspect the SA is damaged but how to I get it working to get the data?

Tried Hotswap didnt work, safe mode limited options to check modules.

Hello Nova,

The problem could be in Heads. Have you looked at them?
You should make a Head Map & and test them one by one.
Then - HeadSwap the damaged one.
